9m grading 23.73g/t Au from 8m depth in Northshore Canada

(Aug 23, 2016)

GTA Resources and Mining is doing some very promising work over the boundary in Ontario. At the same time, its cooperative partner Balmoral Resources is busy drilling its gold properties in Quebec, Canada.

At the Northshore property near Schreiber, which GTA and Balmoral own in a 51:49 joint venture, 36 shallow holes sunk. The results have returned in some high-class, leading that look very advantageous on paper.

Standing out among them was a 9m intercept averaging 23.73g/t Au from 8m depth. Within this came a 1.2m width that cut 139g/t Au from 15.8m depth.

Recently, the Audney and caly vein systems at Northshore has been attention, that outcrop at surface. Holes have only been sunk down to a depth of 30m at present.

In spite of this, the company is seeing a lot of similarities to the Afric zone, which has a historic near-surface resource of 2.2 million tonnes at 2.2g/t Au for an in-situ resource of 135,000 ounces of gold.
