Iron ore imports at the port of Port Hedland for July this year reached 135,000 tonnes, a 29 per cent increase from the same month in 2016.

The Pilbara Ports Authority delivered a total monthly throughput of 52.9 million tonnes for July, a slight decrease of 3000 tonnes from the corresponding month last year.

Iron ore exports, however, reached 37.9Mt, a two per cent decrease from the same month in 2016.

The Port of Dampier delivered a total monthly throughput of 14.2Mt, a two per cent rise from the year before.
